Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained pastor from Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was able to show an early interest to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talents at the when she was just a teenager. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix came in second place in the 200 meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She often finished at the top of the podium in the events.
